 An otter named Youtiao in Shanghai Wild Animal Park was awarded a banner for helping picking up her cell phone dropped in water during the National Day holiday on October 7.

As the most mischievous and smartest otter in the park, Youtiao mistook the falling phone for trash and was the first to rush over to pick it up and hand to the staff, local media reported.   

The 4-year-old male otter was not only granted a banner mailing from Beijing to Shanghai, but also rewarded with a fresh fish. Otters' daily diet is regular and rationed, so Youtiao gained its bonus as much as its body would allow, according to a staff employee in the park. 

Youtiao soon gained love on the internet for its gold heart of helping others. As the story goes, the guest got back her phone, the animal park gained attention from the public, the otter obtained a banner and bonus food, while only a fish sacrificed for the cause.
